February 20th - March 20th

You are invited to celebrate with one of Wellington’s most exciting, diverse and vibrant communities. Discover the unique Newtown community through a series of outdoor events, performances in the Community Centre, the Carrara Park jazz picnic (The Little Day In) and the Newtown Street Fair.

Newtown Festival Fair Day 2012 will be held on Sunday 4th March.

The Newtown Festival promotes performances & special events that might be happening in Newtown, Berhampore, & Mt Cook from late February through early March.

Newtown Festival Street Fair - Sunday 4th Mar 2012

the signature event of the Newtown Festival.

Reclaim the streets and experience Newtown !

FREE to all - a celebration in the heart of Newtown, the Street Fair is Newtown’s community party to which all of Wellington is invited. Enjoy the smorgasbord of 6 music stages, a busking pitch, fairground fun, 300 stalls and international food in Wellington's festive suburb.

Central Riddiford St & Constable Street are closed to vehicular traffic , to host the Street Fair which spills into Newtown School where the music on the main stage will continue into the evening. In 2011 over 75000 people enjoyed the Fair.

Join us from 10am – 4pm for street stalls with music in the side streets & Newtown School till about 7pm
