Matias’ original music work is largely influenced by the roots of the native culture and the traditions of his homeland, with an emphasis on significant social events that took place in the Chilean history and the different realities of the lives of the native Mapuche people (indigenous inhabitants of South-Central Chile), exploring the themes of love, injustice, and dreams of better life and equality. Matias is involved in numerous musical projects in Wellington.

Anastasia and Matias have been performing together at a variety of musical venues, cultural and musical festivals in Wellington over the past couple of years. Anastasia started her musical journey a couple of years back, when she discovered and fell in love with Latin rhythms and culture. Eventually Anastasia returned to explore the musical side of her native Russian culture. Anastasia’s repertoire includes folklore, ballads, bard, trova and romance music of Russia, Soviet Union and Latin America. Recently Anastasia and Matias have been working on a new repertoire which includes songs from the 2nd World War era, and some songs from the 50ies & 60ies. Anastasia also sings a capella in the theater plays she acts in.
