Mr Wizowski will encourage your dreams. He narrowly avoided a lifetime of paper work by running away the circus, he will inspire you that it’s never to late put some fun back in your life. Having fled from Canterbury Law School, Mr Wizowski now travels the world to unleash a show full of stunts, skills and jokes.
Carefully crafted comedy combined with stupendously silly stunts, create a show which will leave you on the edge of your seats. Whether it’s spinning in a giant metal hoop or balancing on a precarious tower of rolling pipes Mr Wizowski is sure to do something to risk his life for your entertainment.
Mr Wizowski is Michael Armstrong, who was born in Christchurch where he was lucky enough to be able to study at two fine institutions, one, the University of Canterbury where gained his law degree and the second where he studied circus skills and performance at Circo Arts. Since then he has toured the length of New Zealand with Circus Aotearoa, travelled to Europe, America and Australia to deliver his unique style of physical performance.
Recently returned from a year teaching community circus in Tasmania, Mr Wizowski brings his fun and varied street performance to the Newtown Festival Buskers Stage for the first time.
"It is quite something to be in the presence of a performer who can engage his audiencewith such innocent charm. This really is a show to delight all ages and stages... "
