How to book

There are 2 ways to book a stall:

Stall locations

The street fair fills both sides of central Riddiford St, Constable Street, the adjoining side streets as well as Newtown School grounds.

* Premium zones sell out in December every year. Book early to secure your site.
** You must order and pay before January 1 2012 to receive the early bird discount.

Special stall prices

Local retailer one 3mx3m Site	$90	This special price only available if you are a local retailer, and must be booked before 1 Jan 2012.
Sports Club and Community Group Information stall 2mx2m	$25	Price is for information stall only - not available for stalls selling anything.

Additional fees that may apply

Safe food handling registration and Rubbish costs	$40	All FOOD stalls are required to pay this fee.
Trestle table hire	$30 each
Power supply:
- 10 amp single phase	$40
- 30 amp single phase	$55
Late booking fee	$50 each	Applies to all bookings after 10 Feb 2012

Food stalls

The Wellington City Council requires the Newtown Festival to register all stalls selling any food.

Food stallholders are required by WCC to confirm and meet prescribed safe food handling requirements with a signed conditions acceptance sheet from each Stallholder prior to the event taking place.

This WCC paperwork will be emailed to you when you apply for a stall site from which food will be sold.

Please return your completed WCC Form to the Newtown Festival before Fair Day

On the Fair day WCC Food Safety Officers visit and inspect all Food stalls.

Festival terms & conditions

When you book a stall site, these terms & conditions apply:

• Application does not guarantee your preferred site.
• Stall sites are allocated only to applications that have PAID for the booking.
• Up till Feb 10 Paid Stall Bookings that cancel are refunded less a $25 charge for administration.
• After Feb 10 any refunds to stalls that cancel are made only in special circumstances.
• Generators on site must not exceed 60dB. Noisy generators will not be allowed on site.
• WCC require all stallholders meet prescribed safe food handling requirements. Note this may mean WCC inspectors asking paid and approved stallholders to leave the event if they are unable to meet the safety requirements on the day.
• The Newtown Festival Street Fair happens rain or shine, there are no refunds for windy or inclement weather.
• All vehicles moving within the Fair must move slowly and follow the site marshal’s instructions.
• Stallholder vehicles need to be removed from the site. If a vehicle is part of your stall set up you must book enough space for it to fit. You may need to order multiple sites, and do remember to allow for towbar length.

On Fair Day stall set up is from 6.30am, and all vehicles must be off site by 9am. Site entry for vehicles is at Constable Street. All traffic on site must move slowly under site marshal’s instructions following the correct one way flow. Pack down is after 4.30pm, usually around 5pm, as soon as crowd numbers on site safely allow. Offsite carparking is available for stallholders.

How to pay for your booking

Once you’ve made your booking, you need to arrange payment.

Important:

• Stall sites are allocated to bookings that have PAID.
• To be eligible for early bird discount prices,
  you must book and pay before 1st January 2012.
