TNST is a collaboration of four amazing and individually talented artists who all have connections to Newtown, and who have joined forces to create the ultimate upbeat vibe for Wellington’s Newtown 2018 Festival.  This is TNST.

Taiao aka Flowtyflowt – (the T) Hailing from the north but now residing in Newtown, Wellington. Taiao is part of the new wave of young up and coming music producers …his secret, he has a great voice as well. Taiao is on Soundcloud dropping new genre beats, and side hustling with his own entrepreneurial endeavours. Taiao is here for the Shake-down.

Nicole Tania – (the N) Nicole a Sydney-sider. She loves to mix Rnb & Hip Hop & throwing a Caribbean/Afro Beats twist for a positive and up beat vibe. Nicole is an established performer and works as the resident DJ in Sydney’s top R&B and Hip-hop IVY and MARQUEE, and has done many festivals around the world. Nicole is in town for the Get-down.

Solo aka i.amsolo– (the S) Solo – Ex-Newtown local first started performing with his brother back in 1999 at the Newtown Festival and Cuba Street Carnivals. Newtown School, SWIS and Welly High alumni who is now an unstoppable future Hip Hop Producer residing in Sydney.  He has been in the music & dance scene for nearly 2 decades. Originally a part of Newtown Break dance crew CMB back in the late 90s/00s– he got his big break in Australia with his music/dance/pop group “Justice Crew” (2010 AGT winners). Now focussed on his own music production working with artists around the globe as i.amsolo, and collector of Transformer collectable pieces – Solo is here for the Break-down.

TUMAINI aka TJ – (the T) Newtown local born and raised, Started out writing raps in his bedroom to now creating songs, and beat production from a range of genres, he don’t like boxes.  Currently a MasseyU Commercial Music student and working on his debut EP project this year “Emotions.” …which is set to debut mid-2018. Anime fan, and younger brother of Solo, Tumaini is here for the Take-Down.
