Tusekah is a singer/songwriter based in Tāmaki Makaurau. So far, Tusekah has released music with the sounds of RnB/NeoSoul with releases planned that will expand Tusekah’s sonic landscape. She released her first single ‘Childhood Friends’ in 2021, while being based in Otepoti. Since then, she has performed all over New Zealand delivering what have been described as spine-tingling performances and released four more singles ‘I ain’t waiting around’, ‘I’ve Changed’, ‘Baby’s Breath’ and most recently ‘Always’. Tusekah’s career highlights as a live act so far include her first headline tour in January 2024 which included two full-capacity shows in Pōneke and Otepoti. Tusekah has opened for local musicians such as Deva Mahal and Jess B. She has also opened for multi-grammy award winning PJ Morton and BRIT award winning Olivia Dean. Tusekah’s music has received support from many publications such as Sniffers and Rolling Stone Australia. Internationally, Tusekah’s music has been played on BBC Radio 1 in the UK along with Triple J and CADA in Australia. Locally, Tusekah’s music has been played on various student and community radio stations alongside mainstream radio stations such as Mai FM, The Edge and ZM.
