Cindy are the garage rock group of consisting of Scott Brown, James King, Gloria Florence and Jordan Lim, based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
For nearly a decade Cindy has been toiling in Tāmaki’s independent venues, leading Rolling Stone AUS/NZ to describe them as “the type of unpretentious, if-you-know-you-fucking-know, resolutely DIY band that rewards discovery.”
Cindy has supported international talent like OFF!, Mean Jeans and Japanese touring acts Guitar Wolf, Shonen Knife, King Brothers, Alkasilka and Watusi Zombie. Where possible they’ve reciprocated the cultural exchange, traveling to tour Japan in 2018 and 2023. Cindy’s 2018 eponymous debut EP and two follow up singles (2020’s Big Energy and 2023’s B21) have amassed tens of thousands of streams and are a firm favourite on Aotearoa’s alternative radio stations.
