So So Modern emerged from the strange happenings of New Zealand’s underground music scene in late 2004. Fuelled by a healthy dose of Southern Hemisphere naivety and good luck, they became one of the most internationally active bands of their era, touring the globe on a string of releases.
Shaped by their collective experiences, the places they’ve been and the people they’ve met, So So Modern have refined and expanded their early post-punk and electronic influenced sound into haptic meditations of rhythm, melody and noise.
Now shaping their optimistic, apocalyptic, apocamystic future, So So Modern returns as the original line up of Daniel, Aidan, Grayson and Mark – a testimony to their long-lasting musical friendship.
