This Newtown Festival is also International Women’s Day! We have many women performing on the day, as well as the many women working hard to make Newtown Festival happen (including our festival runners Emi Pogoni and Anna Wooles and longtime team members Rhona Carson and Anna Kemble Welch). We are so excited to celebrate International Women’s Day so join along in the International Women’s Day Parade! Our first parade of the day, starting at 10:30am at the Tangata Whenua Stage and finishing up at the Community Centre at 11:10am. Helmed by the wonderful Hoot’N’Annies, Big Girls and Richter City Roller Derby – come along and celebrate the women in your life!
