One of the best ever tenors produced in New Zealand, Makisi has graced theatres around the world and was moved to London over 10 years ago where the demand for work was on a high. A multi award winning performer in his field, Makisi had returned to New Zealand with his wife, Maina, due to the pandemic where shows were cancelled globally. Since being back, and with the covid threat lifted, Makisi continues to perform at Festivals and Opera shows around the country as well as in the Pacific. Most recently he performed a Pasifika collaboration in the Cook Islands with other Pasifika Opera vocalists.
