Debt Club are a Pōneke (Wellington) based indie / alt rock six piece made up of River Hann-Ellen (Vocals/Guitar), Flinn Bellam (Guitar), Elina Chester (Keys), Alex Vujanic (Saxophone), Darcy Monteath (Bass) and Maxime Zephyr (Drums). Known for their rich arrangements that blend anthemic saxophone melodies with thoughtful songwriting, Debt Club crafts a sound akin to indie legends MJ Lenderman and Pinegrove. Debt Club started in 2023 as a four piece with just guitars, bass, drums, and vocals. Since then, they’ve grown into a six piece with the addition of sax and keys. Debt Club released their first two singles in 2024, and this year they’ve put out their third, “Little Lines,” and fourth, “Windows.” Both tracks feature on their debut EP, “Taste For Stout,” released on the 5th of September 2025. Debt Club are currently in the process of recording their debut album which will be released in 2026.
