Velvety vocals blend with crystal chords and galactic grooves, characterising the lush soundscape created by inviolet. We are an up-and-coming collective of young wāhine and non-binary musicians – our paths have recently intertwined because we share a vision for a band that reflects our personal identities in the world. Most of us are veterans of the high school music scene (with experience/accolades at competitions like SmokeFree Rockquest and National Youth Jazz) who are now studying at NZSM and Whitireia. Our individual sounds blend favourably, much like a well-flavoured smoothie or a delectable pasta sauce; and culminate in the serving of funky RnB neo-soul delicacies.
