Raised in the heart of the Waikato region, Jaedyn Randell is a recording artist from Aotearoa, best known for voicing Moana in Disney’s Moana Reo Māori in 2017.

Jaedyn was cast as the titular role in Disney’s Moana Reo Māori in 2017 after she was plucked from hundreds of auditions in an open casting call. She provides both the speaking and singing, appearing on the film’s Original Motion Picture Soundtrack as well as the film.

Jaedyn studied a Bachelor of Commercial Music at Massey University where she majored in Music Technology. Her continued passion for the revitalisation of Te Reo Māori saw Jaedyn release her first official single “Patupaiārehe” in 2021.

In 2022, Jaedyn returned to Disney to play Princess Anna in the Te Reo Māori dub of Disney’s record-breaking, smash-hit animation Frozen.
