From Jersey (UK) an 18-year-old Jamie Rose found the love of DJing through a work friend, a vinyl mixing obsession began. The preferred genres changed throughout the years, but the passion only grew. Ibiza being the main annual holiday, Jamie developed a deep connection with house music. Labels such as Anjunadeep have been a huge influence to this and continue to be.
In the last 4 years Jamie has made his mark in the Wellington house music scene. Starting off in bars and working his way up to well-known venues like Laundry, Valhalla and getting booked by brands such as Limbic Resonance and Little Monsters DJ.
Jamie founded Open Air NZ which has become one of the go-to brands in Wellington for events by bringing the European ‘day session’ to New Zealand. Recent collaborations with Newtown Festival, The Welsh Dragon, Dive Bar Cuba, The Champagneria and Carlucci Land has proved successful. This combined with co-hosting The Midnight Marauders show live on RadioActive FM gives Jamie the perfect platform to add on the current house music scene.
