A staple, or shall we say ‘institution’ at the Festival, the Klezmer Rebs play klezmer music, an engaging style of world/folk music born out of the Yiddish/Jewish culture of eastern Europe. Born in folk music, modern klezmer fuses with jazz, swing and takes you on unexpected journeys. Klezmer Rebs instrumentation includes guitar, mandolin, clarinet, violin, accordion. Together the Klezmer Rebs capture the true klezmer spirit with songs of joy, sorrow and rebellion.
