Mothburn are a hardcore-metal band formed in Wellington in 2025. They made their debut in the hardcore scene in June of 2025 and swiftly became part of the city’s underground metal circuit. Their debut release “Den of Silence” dropped early-2025, showcasing their raw energy and aggressive sound, and they continued to realise another single “Peircing Viens” shortly after, and since have teased a EP coming out early 2026. Since their debut shows they have shared the stage with local band, as well as bands from across Aotearoa.
