

Nadia Freeman is a poet and theatre maker of Pākehā and Indo-Fijian heritage. Her work has been published by Folkways Press, and the award-winning online platform Mxogyny. She has been invited to write and produce several solo poetry shows including ‘Eat These Words, ‘ ‘Another Universe,’ and co-produced ‘Writing Home’ and the performance installation ‘Poetry Bistro’ for a variety of festivals including The New Zealand Writers Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Performance Arcade, Hidden Door Festival UK and Kia Mau Festival. She has recently returned from an arts residency in Jaipur, India where she performed her work The Girmit, about Indio Fijian history.
