It was a cold dark night and mars was in retrograde. Clune had a dream, a dream of an instrument so powerful, so not-guitar, that it could single handedly give NZ a four day work week through its feral, distorted tones. But something went wrong when he chased the dream and built the instrument…. That something… was having no money.
He had minimal soldering knowledge, scavenged materials and an iron will. With these crude elements, he summoned the diddley bo and its riffs. His friend, Hoff, had a dusty old drum kit that had been passed down through generations. They set the instrument of dreams up with the drum kit of history, and what was spawned from betwix the sounds, was pure salvation.
With this power, NightLunch found themselves thrust into a world of pubs, soundies and roadtrips up and down the country, hanging with the coolest of the nation’s underground musicians and wizards. Noisy music doesn’t pay well, but boy is it fun!
Night Lunch is a cathartic blast of light and electricity in a crumbling world full of tedious demons!
