Rosina June is a Wellington-based fusion belly dance artist who loves bringing movement, storytelling and connection to her community. She began dancing in local Turkish restaurants in 2008, where she learned the joy of improvisation and sharing energy with live audiences. With more than 25 years of dance experience, her style blends expressive movement, rhythm and creativity.
Rosina continues to grow her practice through training in Australia and the United States, most recently performing in Brisbane as part of an Olga Meos choreography project.
She now dances with her troupe, a collective of fusion belly dancers from around Aotearoa who share a passion for expressive, contemporary movement. Together, they bring vibrant, community-focused performances to events like Newtown Festival.
Rosina is also the Creative Director at Burn My Records, where her connection to local musicians inspires her use of strong beats and atmospheric soundscapes in her work. Her performances celebrate movement, storytelling and the communities that make them possible.
