Rube is a Wellington based DJ, with diverse tastes and over a decade’s experience in the booth. He had his mind blown by Christchurch’s early naughties Drum n Bass scene, revolving around raving and student radio, and he’s has never quite been the same since.
While Mostly spinning House and Techno these days, he can’t deny a good tune, and he’s equally at home playing dirty Bass music at a house party, deep Chicago House at a sun-soaked festival, stonking Techno in a smoke-filled club, or sweet Soul music at a chilled Sunday session.
Rube’s excited to bring some four to the floor pressure to Newtown festival, to see if he can’t get a little dip in your hip to help you spill a few drops from that cheap plastic cup.
