Through self-guided discovery and community networking within the D.I.Y. scene of the East Coast in the U.S. and Aotearoa, Sascha Rose has garnered her skills as a producer and musician. She has recently expanded her practice to include drum machines and loop pedals to explore the intersections between electronic production and a blues vocal delivery. By blending and sampling violin with her own voice, as well as gospel and blues samples like Pastor T.L. Barrett or Robert Johnson, she continues to shape her music through ancestral veneration, connection to the natural world, and uplifting the Black voices that have shaped popular music.
